Megh Pant (Faculty& Academic research head)

Megh Varn Pant, a seasoned professional in the world of acting, has dedicated the last 15 years to imparting his expertise in the craft. With a strong educational background, he has taught at prestigious institutions such as FTII (Film and Television Institute of India) and ITASPA (Indian Television Academy School of Performing Arts). Through his teaching, he has empowered aspiring actors and equipped them with the necessary skills to succeed.

Beyond teaching, Megh has conducted numerous workshops and played a pivotal role in preparing actors for script-based performances. As a versatile artist, he has excelled not only as an actor but also as a talented dialogue writer and voice-over artist. His multifaceted experience has enriched his teaching approach, allowing him to provide a comprehensive understanding of the industry.

Recently, Megh has taken on the role of Academic Research Head at Dramalay, an esteemed institution. In this capacity, he spearheads the research aspect of learning, pushing boundaries, and fostering innovation within the field of acting. His mission is to go beyond the confines of the standard American format and adapt acting techniques to suit the vibrant Indian context. By constantly exploring new avenues and challenging conventional norms, Megh is at the forefront of shaping the future of acting education.

Prior to his current position, Megh served as the Director of Academic Operations and Head of Acting at the Indian Television Academy School of Performing Arts in Mumbai. His leadership and expertise have left an indelible mark on the institution, contributing to its reputation as a hub for aspiring actors.With his extensive knowledge, passion for the craft, and dedication to nurturing talent, Megh Varn Pant continues to make a significant impact on the world of professional acting in India.

3. Sakshi Arya (Faculty& Manager)

Sakshi Arya, a vibrant and talented contemporary dancer, hails from the prestigious Attakalari Centre of Performing Arts, Bengaluru. With a passion for movement and expression, Sakshi graduated in 2020, equipped with a deep understanding of the art form.

Currently, Sakshi holds a dual role at Dramalay, where her expertise and dedication shine. As a Faculty member, she imparts her knowledge of contemporary dance to aspiring artists, nurturing their skills and guiding them towards excellence. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Sakshi also serves as a Manager at Dramalay, bringing her organizational prowess and artistic vision to the forefront. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, she ensures smooth operations and a seamless learning experience for all.

Sakshi's journey as a dancer has been marked by a deep love for contemporary dance and an unwavering commitment to her craft. Her performances exude grace, fluidity, and emotional depth, captivating audiences and leaving a lasting impression.

1. Akshay Shimpi (Voice & Speech, PG Mumbai Theatre Academy)

Akshay Shimpi, a highly accomplished artist, holds a Post Graduate degree in Theatre from the prestigious Academy of Theatre Arts at Mumbai University. With a passion for acting and poetry, Akshay has been making waves in both Marathi and Hindi Films and Theatre since 2010.

>Not only a talented performer, but Akshay is also a dedicated mentor and teacher. He has trained numerous aspiring actors, focusing on areas such as Voice, Speech, and Diction. With his expertise and guidance, he has helped shape the skills of many budding talents, allowing them to express themselves confidently on stage and screen.

During his professional journey, Akshay served as a visiting faculty member at the esteemed Drama School Mumbai for several years. His commitment to education and nurturing young actors is evident through his impactful teaching methods and ability to instil a strong foundation in his students.

Beyond his work in traditional acting, Akshay has carved a unique niche for himself as a 'Dastango,' a storyteller who specializes in the art of oral storytelling. Notably, he is the first to introduce this captivating art form in the Marathi language, captivating audiences with his mesmerizing performances.

2. Hrishikesh Pawar (Body Movement)

Hrishikesh Pawar is a highly acclaimed Artistic Director at the Centre for Contemporary Dance in Pune. Trained in Kathak under the guidance of Pt. Rohini Bhate, he further expanded his skills by completing a Masters in Contemporary Dance Teaching in Dresden, Germany.

Hrishikesh's collaborative work has been showcased at prestigious art festivals worldwide, including the Fringe Festival in Canada and the Dokumenta in Kassel, Germany. He gained significant recognition for his captivating choreography and performances, particularly during the Kochi Biennale in 2018/19, where he presented an impressive 68 live performances.

In addition to his artistic endeavors, Hrishikesh serves as a visiting faculty member at prominent institutions like NID, FTII, and Symbiosis University in India. He also shares his expertise internationally as a teacher at Tanztangente in Berlin.

Hrishikesh Pawar's innovative approach, combined with his profound knowledge of traditional and contemporary dance, has established him as a respected figure in the field. His contributions to the art form continue to inspire both aspiring dancers and audiences alike.

3. Atul Jain (Meisner Technique)

Meet an eminent creative being, who defies the boundaries of convention with his unique blend of engineering and artistry. As an engineering graduate turned artist, he brings an intense and ingenious approach to his craft that sets him apart. With over 10 years of experience in acting, his name is synonymous with outstanding theatre performances and critically acclaimed short film productions.

Drawing inspiration from the legendary Sanford Meisner technique, his approach to acting is highly pragmatic and founded on a deep understanding of theoretical aspects at its core. His work is a testament to the power of method acting and the transformational impact it can have on a performance.

Niranjan Pedanekar (Psychological Gesture)

Niranjan Pedanekar is a multi-talented individual, serving as a playwright, director, and the founder of his own esteemed theatre group called 'Rangdrishti' in Pune. Alongside his theatrical pursuits, he holds the position of Chief Scientist at the prestigious TATA Research Development & Design Centre, showcasing his exceptional abilities in both the artistic and scientific realms.

With an impressive repertoire, Niranjan has penned more than 18 plays, masterfully blending Hindi, Marathi, and English languages to create thought-provoking and engaging theatrical experiences. As a director, he has brought to life acclaimed productions such as 'Upashya,' 'Shahi Pahredar,' and 'Bengal Tiger at the Bagdad Zoo,' captivating audiences with his unique storytelling and innovative staging.

Recognizing his immense talent and contributions to the theatre industry, Niranjan was honored as one of the five recipients of the prestigious Tendulkar-Dubey Scholarship in 2018. This esteemed scholarship, awarded to working theatre professionals across India, highlights his exceptional skill and dedication to the craft.

Niranjan Pedanekar's artistic vision, coupled with his scientific expertise, showcases his remarkable ability to seamlessly navigate between the realms of creativity and innovation. Shashank Arya (FTII, Sense Memory &Characterization)

Shashank Arya is a highly skilled actor and esteemed acting coach based in Mumbai. He honed his acting prowess as a graduate from the screen acting batch of 2012-15 at FTII, Pune. With six years of teaching experience under his belt, Shashank's instructional approach revolves around the renowned Sanford Meisner's technique. He believes in delving deep into his students' behaviours, working closely with them on a one-on-one basis to bring out their authentic performances.

Continuously expanding his repertoire, Shashank is currently engrossed in researching Michael Chekov's technique and incorporates his exercises into the initial training process. Additionally, he emphasizes the importance of body movement and is a skilled dancer himself, further enhancing his students' expressiveness and physicality on stage and screen

Shashank Arya serves as a regular acting faculty member at various esteemed institutions, including the Indian School of Acting in Ghaziabad, MIFT (acting advisor) in Bhopal, Dramalay School of Acting in Pune, and the renowned Indian Television Academy in Mumbai. His expertise and guidance have contributed to shaping the next generation of actors.

In addition to his teaching endeavours, Shashank actively pursues his passion for acting across multiple mediums. He has appeared in numerous short films, advertisements, and a feature film, showcasing his versatility as a performer. He also maintains a strong presence in the theatre community, where he leads his own theatre group called 'Thinline Theatre' in Mumbai.

Ketan Jadhav (Emotions & Physicality)

Ketan Jadhav is a highly acclaimed actor known for his captivating performances in renowned theatre festivals across India, including the prestigious ITFOK (International Theatre Festival of Kerala). As the founder and artistic director of Theatre Flamingo, he has made significant contributions to the theatrical landscape, establishing the TF Actor's Lab in Goa—an immersive space for actors to explore and hone their craft.

With a master's degree in theatre from Pune University, Ketan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his work. His dedication to the art form is evident in his nuanced portrayals and his unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of theatrical expression.

Currently, Ketan is actively engaged as an actor in Indianostram, a distinguished theatre repertory. Through his collaborations and performances, he continues to captivate audiences, leaving a lasting impact with his remarkable talent and depth of artistry.

Sourabh Chauhan ( Contemporary Dance, Attakkalari)

Sourabh Chauhan is a remarkable self-taught artist who has carved his path in the world of dance. He holds a degree in Movement Arts & Mixed Media from Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts, one of India's premier contemporary dance schools situated in Bangalore.

As a multifaceted talent, Sourabh's expertise extends beyond performing to choreography. His artistic vision and unwavering dedication to his craft have led him on a journey across India, seeking to learn and explore new dimensions of dance. His thirst for knowledge and eagerness to delve into various dance forms have taken him far and wide, enriching his understanding and mastery of the art.
